Gli Electric Guest sono una band americana basata a Los Angeles e formatasi nel 2005. I componenti sono quattro: Asa Taccone, Matthew “Cornbread” Compton e i fratelli Todd and Tory Dahlhoff. Nonostante siano attivi da tutti questi anni, hanno realizzato un solo album, Mondo, nell’aprile del 2012, cui appartiene il singolo This head I hold.
Il pezzo in questione è caduto ben presto preda dei pubblicitari per via del suo ritmo originale e coinvolgente, adattissimo agli spot ma anche alle presentazioni rapide, come accaduto nel caso dei due canali Rai per ragazzi, in cui susseguivano in rapida sequenza i programmi più importanti.
Certo, a differenza dello shampoo, i cartoni animati applicati al brano creavano un effetto un po’ dissonante, ma non per questo meno accattivante!
